Pattern Code Workshop
Exploring patterns as a form of visual civilization that carries knowledge, memory and ways of understanding the world.
The first Pattern Code Workshop took place at the University of Houston on September 24, 2026, at Maisie Luo’s invitation, alongside the artist lecture Traditional Motifs in Conversation with Contemporary Art.
Nearly everyone wanted to speak about their work in the closing discussion, and some students said they wanted to continue creating.
